Question about my Sweet 16?
Alright. So, I first need to make some things clear.
1) my family is not loaded with money, but my mom wants the sweet 16 to be special.
2) So, She is giving me a budget of $1000 to work with (and my own money too)
3) So, while this is cleared up, I need some help.
I was thinking for a theme maybe a Mobster (1940’s) & Masquerade theme. We’re going to have 25 VIPS all together (mainly because I’m inviting my entire team, I don’t like leaving people excluded) and wanted to make sure that my closest friends were recognizable. I also need some places we could have the party at (New Hampshire). We have a DJ already, he’s related to my friend so we got a special discount. I really want this to be a fun time for my friends, and myself, so we were thinking of a limo picking us up from school and bringing us to our destination. If we did do the Mobster theme the VIP guys would need a mask, and a pinstripe suit, the girls a black dress with a white mask. I also need some entertainment, a videogropher, and perhaps a photographer. Would it be interesting if I had the invitations as a CD? If the theme I had wouldn’t work, then what would be interesting to you guys? For the VIPS We’ were also thinking of doing two special dances. A Greek Dance and the tango remixed..
If I missed anything, just throw it in with any ideas you might have.
I need services roughly in the Rochester/Somersworth New Hampshire area.
I’d also love some sites for the Dresses and Tuxes.
invitations; write them on a fabulously decorated mask, something that actually has something to do with the theme of your party.
photographer; to cut the costs, get your friends to bring their digital cameras and take photos themselves of everyone at the party, then ask them to send them to you afterwards! sure the photos might not be as professional, but they sure will be free and fun.
entertainment; its good you have a dj, take some photos in your masqurade dress BEFORE the party, and blow them up and hang them from the roof of the venue, or stick them on the walls.
if your self consious of just photos of yourself, take some with your friends!
videographer and other entertainment; look around in the local papers to find someone cheap who is willing for a job around the area. there might be some special act people, something like fire eaters or lion tamers. lol, but something more to suit your theme.
themes; for other themes try the moulin rouge, paris / las vagas, hollywood, the 1940’s, dancing or more!

The mobsters theme is great too, very creative.
I like the dances.
What about food??
You need food like finger foods, quick and easy.
For drinks I would get a variety such as Coke, Diet coke, Fruit punch, Sprite, Lemonade, Mountain Dew and Water.
