what do you think of this colour on this dress?
ok so i bought this really nice dress. i have asked this question many times not much answers. Ok so this is the colour
http://www.colourlovers.com/wallPaper/1600×1200/c/F76855/COLOURlovers.com-mango_tango.png
need advice on makeup, shoes, jewelery and anything else that is important and some hair accessories.
for makeup i would do brown, earthy tones. It will play up the peachy color of the dress. i would also choose brown or gold jewelry. I’m not too sure about shoes because you didn’t really give a picture of the actual dress but again i would choose something brown or gold if its a shorter spring/summer dress, and white if it’s longer.

how should i dress for tango?
i am performing a tango dance for a school cultural fair. I need to know what is appropriate attire to wear in this performance. What colors, prints, patterns, etc are popular and native to Argentina? Also, what shoes would be best to wear? I really want a dress, but since it is just a school performance, I would prefer not to get an evening gown or anything.
Black is always appropriate because it doesn’t distract from the dance.
Tights or slacks with a short see through skirt is elegant.Bright colored heels will accent your footwork.A simple short sleeveless black dress
with net stockings is very impressive.

what should i wear under my red tango dress for school tommorrow?
I have this sexy red dress that has gold in the front, not a lot but it shows.I just want to know what type of shoes should i wear with them? I have red open toe shoes with a slight heel.(not too musc heel because im tall.then i have these black flats. For stockings what do you think i should wear.the dress is not too short or too long.i have gold stockings but it is not the same shade as the gold on the dress, i have black argyle stockings, and black fishnet stockings.you don’t have to base your answer off my choices.im no fashion expert thats why i desperately need your help.oh also, how should i wear my hair with this dress?I have medium length hair.to my shoulders. Please answer all my questions in order for (you) to get points. Thank you
its just a red dress with flare at the end.i just called it a tango dress because it looks kind of spanish-like to me.but its not a tango dress.but it is sexy like one.
if i were you, i wouldnt wear that to school, its a little flashy, especially since its red and all
but if you’re going to anyway, if i had to wear one of those shoes, i would go with the flats cuz too much red is a no-no, otherwise i’d suggest black or gold heels instead
i would probably curl my hair too but not too curly and probably leave it down, otherwise if you put it in a bun, you’re going to look like you’re going to actually perform

Where can I find Salsa dancing shoes in London?
Hey
Im trying to find a dance shop in London that sells dancing shoes with a wide range of Salsa/Ballroom shoes available.
Generally speaking I really dont like the style of the lot of the shoes out there that I have seen on the web. I really dont like the style of those flared heels and the strappy straps that a lot of the online stores are advertising.
If I had to choose a style of dancing shoe that I like, aesthetically, I would say the Tango shoe is good looking as it has a straight heel and is pretty elegant – the only problem is that I think that the heel on a Tango show is to high as I need the shoes to Salsa in.
I clearly dont have a clue about dancing shoes but all I know is that I need to find something more comfortable to wear to my classes but I have postponed it for ages as I dont like the look of the shoes I have seen
If you know of a London store please help me out. Please dont recommend mail order companies or websites as there is no way I will pay for shoes with trying them on first!
Thanks in advance

I get my dance shoes from Dancia International: http://www.dancia.co.uk/ They have many shops all around Britain. (Just look on their website) Their shoes are of a wide range and the quality is great. My shoes are called Supadance and are handmade so they are of a very good quality. I highly recommend them. However, they can be quite expensive. http://www.supadance.com/acatalog/Ladies_Styles.html
There is also another type of dance shoes called Ray Rose which I’ve heard are quite good. http://www.rayrose.com/
You could also try: http://www.movedancewear.co.uk/categories/dance_shoes_ballroom_latin_salsa/21_22/ It is online but I’m pretty sure that you can return them and you’ll get your money back if something is wrong and the prices don’t seem too high either.
Also, you can always search for dance shops online. I’m sure that most shops will have salsa shoes. http://uk.local.yahoo.com/search.html?&p=dance+shops&poi=London%252C+Greater+London&wid=44418&cb=1

Universal dance shoe for beginner…?
Hi, I am new to the dance world so I have a few questions. I’ve been taking Argentine Tango and were shown shoes like Comme il Faut for dancing…I’m deathly afraid of heels (and the price). Because I plan on taking more dance lessons (all ballroom) and will eventually need "non-marking soled shoes", what is a good type of shoe to start with? I’m thinking something comfortable and versatile (no heels) until I actually need to break down and buy actual ballroom shoes/tango shoes etc. Would jazz shoes work as a universal practice shoe? I do plan on eventually buying ballroom shoes, but for now I would like something basic that I can just you know, jump around in (during class) while not breaking an ankle. Or, would the recommendation be that I buy a pair of low-heeled dance shoes for all occasions?
Thanks
You never NEED to wear heels for ballroom dancing unless you plan to do it professionally or compete, etc. Therefore, if you don’t want to do these things then you can wear jazz shoes forever! However, if you think that you may want to progress to heels at a later date, I would advise that you start now with low heels. The only reason is that it feels very different dancing in heels to dancing in flats, so you may find you need to adjust your technique. Rather than adjusting, it is easier to just learn from scratch to do it the way you plan to in the future.
If you do decide to swap to heels, I would recommend starting with wide heels, not stiletto/ thin style heels, as they are much easier to balance on. There are shoes called "practice shoes" which are a bit like jazz shoes with small heels and are very comfy. Here is a link to the brand I use so you can see what they look like, but I’m sure other brands do them too:

Have fun dancing!
