Title of song on dwts, argentine tango, danced by Shawn & Mark, on May 11th, 2009.?

I was searching for this song too. After a while I found it on DWTS’s home site. The song’s called "Asi Se Baila El Tango" by artist Bailongo. Good luck finding it to download though, I’ve still had no luck with that. Though you can find clips of it on Youtube. Another song that sounds somewhat similar is from the soundtrack "Take the Lead". The song is called "Santa Maria (Del Buen Ayre)" by artist Gotan Project. It’s equally intruiging with a great beat (if you can’t find the other).

I love these shoes?

anyone know where i can find these shoes size 7 1/2 any cheaper???? Or anything similar that aren’t quite so much?? I really want something closed toe like this for my wedding, just didnt want to spend more than $60.00 on shoes.

http://www.coloriffics.com/coloriffics/Shop?DSP=30100&PCR=1:100:1020&IID=TANGO%20TOO

I found them a bit cheaper at shoebuy. I’ve used the site many times and they’re great. They have free shipping and free return shipping. Also, if you join their club you usually get 10% off your purchase.

Could anyone give me some tips on how to tango?

i desperately need to learn how to tango-its for a school project, would anyone be willing to give me some advice/help/tips on how you tango?anything at all would be greatly appreciated.
oh and just to let you know im a beginner, and a female. if that matters
thank you so much!

For Ballroom tango:
Standard ballroom hold. Up-and-back, head slightly tilted back. "T-A-N.G.O-" is the basic step. Slow-slow-quick-quick-slow. Follower steps back with right foot/lead steps forward with left; follower back left/lead forward right; do the same two steps (quickly this time); follow steps left and collects but does not switch weight/lead steps right and collects without switching weight. Assuming you followed all that, the pattern can be repeated again! You can also do a promenade, for which ballroom tango is famous; stick your "free arm" (follower’s right, leader’s left) straight out to the side, turn to face the side, do the same rhythm of step out to that side.
The music is very marching, and the beat is "ratatat tap tap tap". "Hernando’s Hideaway" is an example of this.

For Argentine tango:
The most important piece is form. Step with your weight relatively even, and your feet together. Move your weight forward on your feet so you’re balancing on the balls of your feet (heels will do this automatically, put the weight in the right place). Bend your knees such that they’re over the balls of your feet. Put your hips over your feet, your shoulders over your hips, and your head over your shoulders, and you should be all lined up. It’d be akin to stepping next to a wall, and touching your belly button to it.

Then when you take a step, slide your foot along the floor. It doesn’t necessarily scrape the floor, but you aren’t stepping up-and-over, you’re gliding to the next place.
This is especially important for stepping backwards (which the follower does lots), you slide your leg out behind you, and straighten the knee as you extend. When you take the step, you take the weight onto that foot and come back over it.

I’m assuming you will have a partner for the project. It’s possible to make a good dance out of really basic movements: side-to-side, forward, backward, shifting weight, and quick steps. For a little bit of excitement, you can throw in ochos and boleos.

Ocho: Follower steps backward at an angle, across her axis / leader switches weight and steps forward with matching foot (so follower is stepping backward with left foot at an angle, and leader is moving forward at left foot at an angle, or right-to-right). Follower then pivots on the foot onto which she steps, makes an angle the opposite direction, and steps backwards across axis again / leader pivots follower, and steps forward at an angle. Repeat as desired, both stop, leader shifts weight so they’re on matching feet again, go back to basic steps.

Boleo: Follower stops / leader stops; follower pivots / leader pivots follwer; follower makes a small "kick" wrapping around her standing leg / leader suddenly switches the direction of the pivot. The sharper the windup-and-reverse, the bigger the energy. It’s easy to do a boleo out of ochos, or switching from back boleo to front boleo or vice versa. Repeat as desired, come back to neutral, continue with basic steps.

Why do women who accuse men of liking one night stands, forget to mention other women are involved?

I mean one girl said to me men love one night stands pigs! Then i thought about and said hello! It takes 2 to tango, who the the hell do you think these guys are having one night stands with there shadows lol. And im not having it that in one evening he could convince all women the world and they would buy it and sleep with him. lol

Its like saying ‘dam guns they fire bullets’ well it takes a bloody person to pull the trigger can not happen on its own. So if hes a pig surly his company is to, what do you people think? im not attacking anyone just seeing gray as it is!

Well, you’re right. Women shouldn’t be so sexist like that, but I think she is referring to that most women are DRUNK, (thanks to her wonderful date haha) Or they are forced. But I do agree with you, women do take part in this as well. : ]

What websites could I download tango music from?

I don’t have enough money to buy many cds, period. I am looking for places to download music, with names I haven’t heard of(searching MP3 sites requires knowing song title or artist, and often I know neither), and also sites with Nuevo tango, and more recent tango. I like all kinds of tango, especially Argentine and Finnish, and Egyptian. But I prefer a selection of individual songs to tango radio recordings.

I have had good luck with downloads with no problems associated with them on www.imesh.com…Good Luck!!!

How do I fix MP3 file names?

I’ve downloaded a buch of music, but all the file names turn out like this

07-tango_192_lame_cbr.mp3

It should say

Tango.mp3

How do I make it show up normally without having to change each file name manually? I have well over 1500 songs with the titles messed up, and it would take far too long to change them all manually. When I put them into windows media player, it fixes most of them, but I am on a macbook. Anybody know how to fix them? Or a program that can fix them for me?
WMP changes them automatically for me. The problem is, I can’t run WMP because I’m on a macbook. I need to know if there are any applications for mac that will change the titles just like WMP does.

You have to rename each file individually. Unfortunately, windows sucks, nothing you can do about it.

When you download them though(probably from a p2p or gnutella network, as I know from experience), try no to get the ones with a messed up file name. Get one that has the filename you like.

That’s what I do, Im very picky about filenames in the same way you are.

I’m going to an argentine tango dancing party tomorrow, any advice on how I can meet a girl there?

What can I say or do that will get a girl there to go out with me? I am a good dancer, so that will not be a problem.

Well yeah, maybe dancing will get you some attention.

But you want to be charming! That’s what gets us, somebody who can charm the pants off of us (quite literally).

I mean, It’s so powerful, If a guy knows how to be a masculine guy, and charms me with his words and attention…Well, I don’t know what to say other than…It gets me every time!

Best of luck babe, and have a fabulous time!
Any opportunity that comes up….Just go for it!

Where Can You Learn Tango Online?

I started learning tango on youtube (the tangocity ones) and learned all I could from that. A year ago, the tangocity website used to work where you could actually all the videos and all the lessons. But it doesn’t seem to work anymore. I was wondering if anyone knew of another good place to learn tango (preferably the Argentinean tango) online. Thank you for your time.

You can watch dance lessons online and you MAY learn the steps, but you still will not KNOW how to dance. Dances, like the tango, require you to learn more then the steps, you have to learn the methods of communication with your partner so that your moves will be perfectly in rhythm and synchronicity.

Go to a dance class either with a partner or without and you can learn how to dance.
