Tango Argentino u Zadru – Hrvatska – Naslovnica

Where can I find instruction for advanced steps of tango?

I took a beginner’s course last year and found it a bit too easy. Now I am too good at it. Looking for intermediate to advanced instruction online or a DVD.
Really do not know which kind.. A description, though is that you take three steps backward (right left right) and then two steps to the left (Left, together). Not sure which specific kind this is.

You didn’t specify what kind of Tango – International, American or Argentine…
The best place to learn is classes. This is where you can get the steps and also the feedback from the teacher. If you are looking for DVDs check out http://www.dancesport.uk.com and http://dancevision.com

Are there any women out there who dance tango, and hate wearing high heels?

sometimes high heels have been so painful that I feel indescribable spite. Yet I know women are expected to wear heels by the tango community. So more specifically, are there really good solutions you ladies have for making 3-3.5 inc heels way less painful, and more advice, and shared experiences? I love the aesthetics of high heels and Argentine tango, but after a night dancing in just 2-2.5 inch heels, my feet can be killing me.

I’m not a big fan of heels and agree that things like tango seem to require them. You may want to try some custom made shoes, this is pricey but at least the shoes aren’t going to pinch and add to the discomfort. Otherwise it’ll have to be gel cushions I’m afraid.

it was featured in true lies, bad santa and scent of a woman, please help!!

There are many links to this beautiful instrumental. A few are below.

Who are some good traditional Celtic and Argentinian tango musicians?

I’m looking for traditional instrumental music, not newer-sounding songs. Thanks!

as far as Celtic I don’t know but for tango, Carlos Gardel is the most famous tango musician.

what kind of shoes are best for tango?

I’m starting to attend a tango class in my college…I was wondering what kind of shoes are best for this type of dancing? Heels? and if so what kind? How high would you recommend?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

found a web site that should help you .
"Tango requires shoes that allow you to maintain your balance, but also allow you to pivot easily and gracefully. For women, heels of 2 to 4 inches create the best line, while men can choose from a variety of dance shoes with no or low heels."
